The SplitPack fresh juice pack is a concept truly based on the Cradle 2 Cradle design approach. Rather than laminating carboard with
plastic (and thus creating a useless downcyclable hybrid),Splitpack separates the structural function (cardboard) from the watertight/airtight one (plastic). This allows the perfect separation of elements, ready for re or up-cycling, along with other precious avantages.
Glueless mounting, pyro-engraved lettering instead of inks, no cap, boxe-shape for shipping, and continious flow of liquid due to the
contractability of the plastic bag, SplitPack has a ecological footprint 4 times lower than classical fruit-juice packs.
Splitpack was elected single nominee at the Eco=design pro carton France 2007 awards (they wouldn’t give it the award because it wasn’t mass-produced, but thought it deserved a prize, so they invented the Nominee section for it).
